Hello Oprah! Welcome to my hometown Sydney!
When Oprah announced that this would be the final year of the Oprah Winfrey Show I wondered how I could possibly get to Chicago to be in the audience or on her show before it all ended forever.
Now Oprah is coming to Sydney half the challenge is over. How lucky am I?
As Oprah says “Luck is a matter of preparation meeting opportunity.”
I think I may be Oprah’s Ultimate Aussie fan. I’ve been watching her since she started screening in Sydney. I’ve seen every episode more than once and have her 20th anniversary dvd collection. I bought an Oprah Book Club hat which I wear whenever I sit at my computer and write.
Thanks to Oprah I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, I’ve dieted, I’ve gained weight, I’ve dieted, I’ve lost weight, I’ve found the same weight over and over again, I’ve donated, I’ve de-cluttered, I’ve decorated, I’ve cooked, I’ve saved, I’ve reminisced, I’ve been to the doctor for a check up, I’ve gained knowledge, I’ve been thankful and now I’m asking, believing and hopefully receiving (I also saw The Secret for the first time on Oprah) a meeting, a moment, an interview, or a seat in her audience.
After you’ve read a little about me and you think I might be an interesting guest for Oprah or deserving of a seat in her audience then please leave me a comment with your thoughts and you never know, social media may just get me to the forecourt of the Sydney Oprah House in December. Hopefully while Oprah’s show is being taped and not on another day when I am there with all those steps, tourists, pigeons and my mobility scooter – although that view is spectacular and drinks and snacks with friends at the Opera Bar at the Opera House is one of my favourite things to do in Sydney. So I’d be okay. But gosh my ‘wildest dream’ would come true if I were to be there with Oprah.
Every Oprah fan has reasons why they should be on her Sydney show or in the audience. But come on guys my head fell off. I win right? Does head falling off trump most things? Just this once, please let me win.
